Job Summary:

The Head Cashier is a key member of our team at The Home Depot Canada, responsible for ensuring a seamless customer experience in our front-end operations. As a leader, you will be accountable for motivating and guiding our Front End associates to consistently demonstrate exceptional customer service skills.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Customer Experience: Oversee the front-end operations, ensuring that customers receive a positive and personalized experience, and that our store and company objectives are effectively communicated to our associates.
  2. Team Leadership: Train and supervise Cashiers and Lot Associates, setting clear performance expectations and providing constructive feedback to ensure they meet our high standards.
  3. Operational Efficiency: Ensure efficient front-end and remote cashier operations, providing outstanding service to both internal and external customers.
  4. Problem Resolution: Handle customer complaints in a professional and courteous manner, resolving issues promptly and fairly.
  5. Safety and Security: Maintain a safe working and shopping environment by adhering to all safety policies and standards, reporting hazards or unsafe conditions to the Manager On Duty.

Requirements:
  1. Leadership Experience: Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience, with a proven track record of leading high-performing teams.
  2. Communication Skills: Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people.
  3. Knowledge and Skills: In-depth knowledge of all policies, procedures, and duties related to customer transactions, cash handling, the service desk, and lot operations.
  4. Flexibility: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of our customers and business.
