About the Role

Crop Intelligence is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Territory Business Agronomist to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for building strong relationships with our vendors, customers, and insight collaborators to grow the awareness of our Crop Intelligence insights, subscriptions, and hardware.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Development: Collaboratively set and assist in execution of sales goals with our vendors to help grow volume of our hardware and subscription offerings.
  • Lead Management: Manage leads from referral partners, tradeshows, and online referrals through the sales cycle.
  • Customer Engagement: Be the key contact for sales programming offered by Crop Intelligence and train and engage all vendors, customers, and collaborators on the insights delivered by the product to help end customers capture their full Water Driven Yield Potential.
  • Product Feedback: Bring forward feedback on new insights and hardware products to be developed to meet customer needs.
  • Field Support: Support the product in the field to ensure high-quality data collection to drive accurate insights.
Requirements
  • Business Acumen: You understand business is a team sport and are energized by working in a team environment, looking for wins for both sides in all of your interactions.
  • Agronomy Expertise: You have a passion for agronomy, always looking for new insights by connecting the data generated from our hardware to solve real-world problems.
  • Education and Certifications: You have a bachelor's degree, CCA, and/or P.AG, and enjoy staying connected to new developments in the world of agronomy.
  • Relationship Building: You have a strong drive to build long-term relationships and increase the experience for both our vendors and our customers.
  • Communication Skills: You are energized by speaking in front of groups and engaging the audience to participate.
  • Industry Experience: You have past experience for three or more years working directly with decision makers on the farm or decision makers at farm retailers or dealers.
  • Flexibility and Travel: You have a high drive to succeed inside a flexible schedule - this is not an 8-5 job - based remotely in your territory, with 80% of your time spent traveling to meet with customers, vendors, and collaborators.
  • Organizational Skills: You have created a strong system to organize yourself to handle multiple priorities throughout the day.
