Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Educational Support Specialist to assist in enhancing the learning experience for students. This role is crucial in fostering a supportive educational environment.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of a college, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program lasting between 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 month and up to 7 months of relevant experience.
Work Environment
  • Willingness to relocate is essential.
  • Hybrid work setting available.
Key Responsibilities
  • Support students during both academic and extracurricular activities.
  • Provide individual or small group assistance to students with assignments, reinforcing key learning concepts under the guidance of the classroom teacher.
  • Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned by the school principal.
  • Oversee students during various school activities.
  • Facilitate student integration into the classroom and overall school environment.
  • Track and report on student progress to the classroom teacher.
  • Assist the teacher with the operation of audiovisual equipment, including projectors and tape recorders.
  • Support students with special needs using various techniques, including sign language and remedial programs.
