We are seeking qualified Occasional Educational Assistants to join our dynamic and caring team at Sudbury Catholic District School Board. As an Occasional Educational Assistant, you will play a crucial role in fostering equitable and inclusive classrooms and school environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support students with intensive and/or complex needs based on Health/Medical, Adaptive Functioning, Communication, and Behaviour/Safety.
  • Assist students with daily assignments and provide support in the classroom.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to ensure student success.
  • Provide individualized support to students with exceptionalities.
Requirements:
  • College Diploma in Child and Youth Care Worker (CYW), Developmental Service Worker (DSW), Educational Assistant (EA), or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of Personal Health Information Protection Act.
  • Broad knowledge of child and youth development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as a member of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Behaviour Management Systems (BMS) certification.
  • First Aid Certification & CPR Certification.
  • Experience in a classroom setting.
