About the Opportunity

The Royal Conservatory is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Service Desk Assistant to join our team. As the first point of contact for students, faculty, and visitors, you will provide exceptional customer service and support, ensuring a seamless experience for all.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide front-line customer service and assistance to students, faculty, and the public
  • Assign and control access to practicing and teaching spaces
  • Handle inbound phone calls and emails
  • Work with building services staff to provide accurate details for room and equipment set-ups
  • Coordinate inventory and demand for room keys and equipment
  • Input bookings into the online schedule and process administrative tasks
  • Sale of practice cards, including cash handling and POS debits
  • Provide mailroom relief and coordinate mail, couriers, and office supply requests

Requirements

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a customer service role, preferably in a fast-paced environment
  • High attention to detail, strong personal initiative, and ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Familiarity with cash-handling and POS terminals
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure atmosphere and respond to customer demands while remaining focused

Additional Information

  • Minimum wage, currently $16.55 per hour
  • Scheduling flexibility for shifts: currently scheduled between 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays
