Position Overview

The role of a Food Counter Attendant at DGA FOOD SERVICE INC. O/A SUBWAY involves a variety of responsibilities focused on providing excellent customer service and maintaining a clean and efficient dining environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Greet and serve customers at counters or buffet tables, ensuring a positive dining experience.
  • Food Preparation: Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items, portioning and wrapping foods as needed.
  • Sanitation: Clean and sanitize kitchen areas, including work surfaces, appliances, and equipment, to maintain a hygienic environment.
  • Inventory Management: Keep records of food quantities used, receive and store supplies, and stock refrigerators and salad bars.
  • Dishwashing: Operate dishwashers and wash dishes, glassware, and flatware by hand to ensure cleanliness.
  • Waste Management: Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and maintain cleanliness of floors through sweeping, mopping, and polishing.
  • Vegetable and Fruit Preparation: Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruits for food preparation.

  • Conventional oven

  • Grill
Qualifications
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: Willingness to train; previous experience is an asset.
  • Work Hours: Flexible hours ranging from 30 to 40 hours per week.
  • Language: English is the primary language of work.
