Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Food Service Staff
    • Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure efficient food preparation and service.
    • Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain optimal inventory levels.
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Lead Culinary Operations
    • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation to minimize waste and optimize costs.
    • Supervise and check assembly of trays to ensure presentation and quality standards are met.
    • Establish work schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels during peak periods.
  • Manage Food Service Budget
    • Prepare budget and cost estimates to ensure accurate financial planning.
    • Monitor and control food and labor costs to maintain profitability.
  • Ensure Quality and Customer Satisfaction
    • Supervise and train staff to ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
    • Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Maintain Records and Reports
    • Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform business decisions.
    • Prepare and submit reports to management on a regular basis.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience
    • Previous experience in food service management or a related field is an asset.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions under pressure.
    • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks.

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of physical activity. The ability to work under pressure and maintain attention to detail is essential.
