Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at 6728481 Manitoba Corp. as a key member of our culinary operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our food service staff, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and high-quality food.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of food service staff, including food preparation, portioning, and presentation.
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, as well as culinary techniques and menu preparation.
    • Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure efficient food service operations.
  • Food Service Management
    • Requisition food and kitchen supplies, ensuring that inventory levels are maintained and orders are fulfilled in a timely manner.
    • Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation, minimizing waste and optimizing inventory.
    • Prepare and submit reports on food service operations, including sales, inventory, and customer feedback.
  • Customer Service
    • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, addressing customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
    • Prepare food order summaries for the chef, ensuring that orders are accurate and fulfilled promptly.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Prepare and submit reports on food service operations, including sales, inventory, and customer feedback.
    • Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, providing insights for future planning and optimization.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
    • Will train in culinary operations and food service management.
  • Language and Communication
    • Fluency in English, with excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Work Environment and Physical Demands
    • Fast-paced environment with high levels of pressure and physical demands, including standing for extended periods and lifting heavy objects.
  • Transportation and Travel
    • Valid driver's license and own transportation, with the ability to travel as required.
