Role Summary
What is the opportunity?
As a Global Mobility Analyst, you will play a crucial role within the Global Mobility Centre of Expertise, collaborating closely with the Mobility Tax team to deliver advisory and administrative assistance stemming from RBC's diverse international mobility initiatives. By leveraging your meticulous attention to detail, financial acumen, and eagerness to learn, you will help ensure an outstanding experience for all stakeholders, including employees, payroll, and colleagues across Total Rewards. This role encompasses all RBC business platforms and addresses global employee mobility, particularly focusing on business travel to Canada, the UK, and the US, as well as US interstate travelers.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Mobility Tax team in managing expatriate and short-term business travel compliance programs.
- Under the guidance of Senior Advisors, maintain general ledger balancing, liability recovery reporting, and other necessary processes or reports related to withholding or tax compliance activities.
- Collaborate with employees, finance, global payrolls, and external vendors (RMC and tax service providers) to facilitate processes and follow up on collection efforts and activities.
- Enhance processes, procedures, reports, and other duties aimed at increasing efficiencies as directed by the team.
- Work with the team to support the implementation of new tools and technologies that automate or enhance workflows.
- Provide year-end reporting as required.
- Coordinate vendor invoice reviews, ensuring accurate billings are approved and processed promptly.
- Continuously expand knowledge in areas such as mobility tax, process management, and other relevant fields.
Qualifications for Success
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a complex corporate environment, ideally in Global Mobility, Finance, or Payroll.
- Strong financial literacy with experience in reconciling general ledgers and preparing internal reports; keen attention to detail.
- A proactive attitude with a commitment to delivering an exceptional employee experience.
- Excellent prioritization and organizational skills; self-motivated with outstanding verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proven ability to perform under pressure through both independent and collaborative efforts.
- A self-directed learner, open to change and eager to implement improvements that foster operational excellence.
- Strong technical skills (MS Excel, vendor web-based administration tools, SAP, Workday); experience in business report preparation and presentation.
