Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Estimator to join our team at Chateau Window & Door Systems. This role is essential for accurately assessing project costs and ensuring the financial viability of our construction endeavors.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of College or CEGEP.
  • Experience: A minimum of 2 to 3 years in a similar role.
Work Environment

The position is based in an office setting, where collaboration and communication are key.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed estimates of labor and material costs for various projects.
  • Utilize CADD and other software tools to enhance accuracy in estimates.
  • Generate and submit comprehensive estimate reports, quote sheets, and bid forms.
  • Establish and maintain cost monitoring and reporting systems.
  • Compile and update a directory of suppliers and trade contractors.
  • Engage with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors to discuss adjustments to cost estimates.
  • Interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to inform estimates.
  • Provide estimates and bids for construction, renovation, and restoration projects.
  • Calculate costs and required materials effectively.
Technical Skills
  • Proficient in estimating software packages.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint for project management.
