Job Summary

UDHAY BRAR TRUCKING LTD. is seeking a skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across various locations, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining the highest level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Route Planning and Execution: Plan and adjust routes based on changing conditions, utilizing computer equipment, GPS, and other navigation devices to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
  • Mountain Driving Expertise: Demonstrate expertise in driving in mountainous terrain, ensuring safe and efficient transportation of goods.
  • Logistics and Coordination: Arrange travel itineraries, make reservations, and oversee the loading and unloading of goods.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, ensuring the vehicle is in good working condition, and oversee all aspects of vehicle maintenance.
  • Communication and Documentation: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, maintain accurate records, and complete necessary documentation, including driver logbooks and trip reports.
  • Cargo Security and Safety: Ensure the safety and security of cargo, including tarping and securing loads.
Requirements
  • Certifications and Licenses: Possess a valid AZ class license, Air Brake (Z) Endorsement, and Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
  • Experience and Training: Willingness to train and a minimum of [insert experience level] years of experience in long haul trucking.
