Position Overview
As an Electromechanical Maintenance Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting production through preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and system optimization for industrial machinery and electrical/mechanical equipment, all while adhering to safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, inspect, replace, or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, and various electrical control systems.
  • Maintain, repair, and test switchgears, transformers, and switchboard meters.
  • Conduct tests on electrical and electronic equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical codes during installations and repairs.
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues.
  • Diagnose and expedite repairs for mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to minimize production downtime.
  • Perform maintenance tasks, including cleaning and lubrication, according to work orders.
  • Utilize a CMMS system to maintain detailed maintenance records.
  • Assemble and repair stationary industrial machinery using hand and power tools.
  • Conduct high-quality repairs on production equipment with minimal supervision.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, escalating issues as necessary.
  • Operate lifting devices for machinery positioning during maintenance activities.
  • Execute scheduled preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Inspect machinery for abnormal conditions and replace defective parts as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and follow the 5S methodology during maintenance activities.
  • Comply with all relevant codes, standards, and legislation, including environmental regulations and occupational health and safety requirements.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Ontario Electrician's License (309A or 442A).
  • Valid Millwright Certification of Qualification (C of Q) 433A.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience.
  • Diploma in electromechanical technology or equivalent preferred.
  • Strong ability to interpret schematics and technical manuals.
  • Aptitude for diagnosing equipment issues efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Familiarity with maintenance planning software is advantageous.
  • Proficient in using hand tools and testing equipment.
  • Experience with PLCs and robotics is a plus.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
