Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Building Maintenance Specialist to ensure the upkeep and functionality of our facilities at Jia Maintenance Inc.. This role involves a variety of tasks aimed at maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing floors and hallways.
  • Utilize industrial vacuum cleaners to remove debris and maintain cleanliness.
  • Manage waste disposal by emptying trash cans and waste containers.
  • Conduct minor repairs on heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems, and coordinate with tradespersons for major repairs.
  • Contact contractors for maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Handle minor appliance repairs.
  • Conduct safety and security inspections.
  • Assist in moving heavy furniture and equipment.
  • Carry out routine maintenance tasks such as painting and drywall repairs.
  • Water and care for plants, lawns, and gardens.
  • Maintain cleanliness in bathrooms and fixtures.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Clear snow and ice from walkways and parking areas.
Experience and Skills
  • Experience in cleaning and maintenance is an asset.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle repetitive tasks.

Weight Handling
