Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Specialist to join our team at Next Level Group. As a Field Service Specialist, you will be responsible for providing on-site installation, repairs, and maintenance of CNC Machine Tool product line.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and Repair: Provide on-site installation, repairs, and maintenance of CNC Machine Tool product line.
  • Preventative and Corrective Maintenance: Through preventative and corrective maintenance, ensure customer equipment performs at an optimal level of quality and efficiency.
  • Defect Diagnosis and Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot defects in CNC Machine Tools.
  • Repair and Testing: Perform mechanical and electrical repairs on CNC machines and test for proper performance.
  • Customer Support: Act as a liaison with the customer and provide customer support so that products are used at an optimal level.
  • Parts Procurement: Determine which replacement parts will be needed for service calls and ensure that they are available.
  • Service Reporting: Provide detailed and accurate service reports and documentation.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain all company-provided equipment, including tools and company service vehicle.
  • Compliance and Safety: Understand and follow all service operations and procedures and submit completed company-required paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Travel and Availability: Must be available to travel as customer demands require and do so within company-provided directions and guidelines.
  • Team Collaboration: Assist other Field Engineers as directed.
Requirements
  • Technical Experience: Experience in technical field support - machine tools, automation, or electromechanical controls.
  • Repair and Installation: Perform mechanical and electrical repairs on CNC machines and test for proper performance.
  • CNC Programming Knowledge: Install, commission, and align CNC Machine Tools. CNC programming knowledge is a preferred asset.
  • Customer Orientation: Must be customer-oriented, conscientious, and career-minded as well as organized and possessing excellent people skills.
  • Communication and Travel: Good communication skills, have a valid driver's license, and be able to travel within Eastern Canada but predominantly in Southern Ontario.
