Warehouse Maintenance Specialist

Summary

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this role is responsible for overseeing and managing the maintenance of assigned warehouses, encompassing both building and general upkeep. The incumbent utilizes computer tools for monitoring and management.

Responsibilities

  • Process daily requests from warehouse operations and address building-related maintenance needs.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define and prioritize maintenance tasks.
  • Guide Ti Management, create maintenance routes, and implement structural modifications.
  • Respond to first-level alarms for fire protection, power outages, and building systems.
  • Identify resources required for maintenance work, including labor and subcontractors.
  • Coordinate and execute preventive maintenance programs for various systems (roofing, plumbing, refrigeration, ventilation, electrical, etc.) with external suppliers.
  • Maintain archives of inspection reports (GMP, Quality Control, HACCP).
  • Participate in project coordination and audits related to general maintenance services (janitorial care, waste removal, snow removal, landscaping, etc.).
  • Promote a strong Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) culture within the workplace and among service providers.
  • Ensure optimal quality and level of customer service.
  • Educate service providers on the importance of Distribution Centre Operations.
  • Conduct follow-ups with internal customers (transport, operations, quality assurance, etc.).
  • Review and verify invoices for building work.
  • Manage emergencies as required.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • DEC or DEP in Electromechanics, Electronics, or Building Mechanics.
  • 5+ years of experience in Automation, Electrical, and/or Mechanical Maintenance within a distribution center environment.
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Knowledge of building management systems and CMMS systems.
  • Strong decision-making skills, orientation towards quality work/service, interpersonal communication abilities, resourcefulness, autonomy, adaptability, and self-control.
