Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Security Patrolman to join our team at Great Canadian Entertainment. As a Security Patrolman, you will be responsible for maintaining the security and safety of our facilities, ensuring the well-being of our employees and visitors, and upholding the highest standards of customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist employees as assigned, ensuring they are adhering to company policies, regulations, and procedures.
  • Control access to the barn area and patrol the premises to maintain security and safety.
  • Investigate and report any illegal or prohibited activity, and intervene as necessary.
  • Provide assistance to staff, horsemen, and visitors, and answer directed calls as required.
  • Submit required reports and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Grade 12 Education.
  • Physical ability to perform security-related duties, including running, standing, and walking on cement for prolonged periods.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills, including good oral and written English, discretion, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to work in close proximity to horses and knowledge of the horse-racing industry is an asset.
  • Ability to work effectively without direct supervision and honesty.
  • Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License.
  • Serving it Right Certification.
