Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Policy Analyst to join our team at the Government of Alberta. As a key member of our Forestry Division, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing policies that support the department's goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive policy inventories and schedules for the Forestry Division.
  • Provide policy development expertise and support to staff, including training and capacity building.
  • Ensure alignment of Forestry Division policy development with departmental and government-wide policy development.
  • Conduct research and analysis to inform policy decisions, including environmental scanning and review of provincial, national, and international best practices.
  • Support the monitoring and implementation of Red Tape Reduction initiatives.
  • Collaborate with committees, teams, and working groups to provide policy expertise and support.
