Position Overview:

The successful candidate will report directly to the Manager of Financial Reporting and Landlord Services, overseeing the financial operations of the UK subsidiary while working remotely. This role demands adherence to all applicable national and international financial accounting standards and statutory obligations. The candidate will serve as the primary liaison with auditors and financial regulatory bodies, ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements, particularly concerning tax authorities.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management:

  • Foster and maintain relationships with external regulatory bodies, auditors, and relevant agencies.
  • Ensure that the accounting records are maintained in accordance with company policies and comply with statutory requirements across jurisdictions, including tax obligations.
  • Oversee the integrity of the sales ledger, purchase ledger, cash book, and nominal ledger, focusing on invoice coding and reconciliation reviews.
  • Manage treasury operations to optimize the use of company funds and conduct financial forecasting to ensure sufficient liquidity for daily operations.
  • Generate comprehensive financial performance reports and management accounts tailored to business needs.
  • Prepare financial statements, including profit and loss accounts and balance sheets, along with detailed monthly management accounts analyzing budget variances.
  • Maintain project and fixed asset registers, providing project leaders with insights into financial standings and identifying potential overspending.
  • Assist in the preparation of statutory accounts, forecasts, and budgets, considering the implications of legislative changes and reporting requirements.

Payroll Administration:

  • Review, authorize, and submit payroll documentation, ensuring accuracy in adjustments and maintaining an up-to-date employee payroll summary.
  • Administer the employee pension scheme, ensuring compliance with evolving pension legislation.
  • Handle inquiries from the National Statistics Office regarding turnover, staffing, corporate structure, and overseas investments.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Conduct inventory costing and analysis.
  • Collaborate closely with the accounting team and business partners to address inquiries and support operational needs.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement within financial processes.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A degree or diploma in accounting or finance (CPA candidates preferred).
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant financial experience.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines consistently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word) is essential.

Desirable Skills:

  • Familiarity with Oracle or similar ERP systems is advantageous.
  • Understanding of UK financial reporting requirements is a plus.
