Role Overview

As a Senior Estimator, you will be crucial in providing precise and competitive pricing for construction initiatives. Your skills in estimation, project evaluation, and market insight will be vital for securing and executing projects effectively. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in construction estimating, comprehensive knowledge of construction materials and techniques, and outstanding communication abilities to collaborate with diverse teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the estimation process for construction projects of various scales, including residential, commercial, and industrial.
  • Create detailed and competitive proposals, considering materials, labor, equipment, subcontractor expenses, and overhead.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with prospective clients through meetings, calls, and email correspondence.
  • Examine project plans, specifications, and other pertinent documents to identify project needs, risks, and opportunities.
  • Engage with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing and ensure timely quote submissions.
  • Develop and manage cost budgets for construction projects, monitoring expenses throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to guarantee accurate and efficient project delivery.
Candidate Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimating, with a successful history of bidding and securing projects.
  • Experience in the construction sector with a strong understanding of Division 9.
  • Exceptional analytical and mathematical capabilities.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Familiarity with local building codes and regulations.
  • Possession of a valid Driver's License.
