About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Pastry Chef to join our team at Gateaux Galore. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the preparation and presentation of our exquisite pastries and desserts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Development
    • Collaborate with our culinary team to design and implement new pastry and dessert menus that showcase our creativity and expertise.
    • Source high-quality ingredients and suppliers to ensure consistency and excellence in our products.
  • Team Leadership
    • Supervise and mentor a team of pastry chefs and cooks to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
    • Provide guidance and support to help the team overcome challenges and achieve their goals.
  • Quality Control and Assurance
    • Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure that all pastries and desserts meet our high standards.
    • Implement processes and procedures to maintain consistency and excellence in our products.
  • Inventory Management
    • Manage inventory levels to ensure that we have the necessary ingredients and supplies to meet demand.
    • Collaborate with our purchasing team to source high-quality ingredients and supplies.
  • Customer Service
    • Provide exceptional customer service to our clients and customers.
    • Ensure that all pastries and desserts are presented in a visually appealing and appetizing manner.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Minimum 1 year of experience as a pastry chef or in a related role.
    • Post-secondary education in pastry arts or a related field.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards.
    • Ability to lift heavy loads and stand for extended periods.
  • Language
    • Fluency in English.
