Key Responsibilities
  • Gather and Prepare Materials: Source and prepare the necessary materials, including flowers, foliage, and decorative elements, to create unique and visually appealing arrangements.
  • Teach and Mentor: Develop and deliver craftmaking lessons to customers, sharing your expertise and passion for floral design.
  • Design and Create: Design and create a wide range of glass objects, metal jewelry, utensils, and other decorative items that showcase your artistic flair.
  • Manage Operations: Oversee the day-to-day business operations, ensuring that our studio runs smoothly and efficiently.
  • Sell and Promote: Sell our products on a retail basis, promoting our brand and building relationships with customers.
  • Lead and Develop: Supervise apprentices or other artisans, providing guidance and support to help them grow and develop their skills.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: A college or CEGEP education, or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Work Environment: Our studio is air-conditioned and can be noisy at times.
  • Work Setting: Our studio is a private space, and we also work with artists' co-operatives and businesses.
  • Physical Capabilities: You will need to be able to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
  • Personal Suitability: You must be accurate, have excellent oral communication skills, and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions

We offer a 30-hour workweek and a permanent work term. The work language is English.
