Role Description
We are seeking a skilled individual to take on the role of Energy Efficiency Advisor, focusing on delivering a residential energy affordability initiative. Our team is passionate about energy reduction and enjoys collaborating with both colleagues and the public. In this role, you will engage with residents to assess their needs and assist them in identifying the most effective energy reduction strategies.

Ideal Candidates Will:

  1. Assess residential properties to recommend complimentary energy-saving upgrades such as new refrigerators, attic insulation, heat pumps, and high-efficiency gas furnaces in accordance with program guidelines.
  2. Provide participants with valuable energy-saving advice.
  3. Install energy-efficient products, including light bulbs and aerators.

A company vehicle will be provided, and a driver's abstract will be required during the background check process.

Program Requirements:
Travel throughout the region may be necessary, with flexible options available. Daily per diem will be provided.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in residential construction
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license
  • Familiarity with energy conservation initiatives
  • Customer service experience is preferred
  • Knowledge of building science and home inspection is advantageous
  • Completion of construction/building envelope courses is a plus
  • HVAC experience and familiarity with F280 standards is beneficial

Compensation:
Hourly wage range: $27-$31 CAD
Compensation is determined based on internal equity, market data, and the applicant's relevant skills and experience.
