Role Description
We are seeking a skilled professional to serve as an Energy Efficiency Consultant, focusing on delivering a residential energy affordability initiative. Our team is dedicated to energy conservation and enjoys collaborating with each other and the community. In this role, you will engage with homeowners to assess their needs and recommend the most effective energy-saving strategies.

Ideal Candidates Will:

  1. Conduct evaluations of residential properties to suggest complimentary energy-saving improvements such as new refrigerators, attic insulation, heat pumps, and high-efficiency gas furnaces in accordance with program standards.
  2. Provide participants with practical energy-saving advice.
  3. Install energy-efficient products such as LED light bulbs and water-saving aerators.

A company vehicle will be provided, and candidates will need to submit a driving record during the background verification process.

Program Requirements:
Willingness to travel overnight and seasonally throughout the region as needed, with flexible arrangements available. Daily per diem will be provided.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in residential construction
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license
  • Familiarity with energy conservation initiatives
  • Customer service experience is advantageous
  • Knowledge of building science and home inspection is beneficial
  • Courses in construction/building envelope are a plus
  • HVAC experience and knowledge of F280 standards are advantageous

Compensation Information:
Hourly rate ranges from $27 to $31 CAD. The compensation package is determined based on internal equity, market data, and the applicant's qualifications and experience.
