Clinical Laboratory Technician II

Under the guidance of the Section Charge Technician, you will be responsible for collecting patient samples, preparing laboratory specimens for testing, and conducting basic examinations, including urine analysis.
Compensation:
The updated wage is: $28.17/hour
About Northern Health Authority: Northern Health Authority operates a 52-bed acute care facility and is the sole provider of inpatient psychiatric services in the region. The organization offers emergency care and features a diagnostic and specialist center, which includes advanced imaging services. Visiting specialists provide care in various fields including obstetrics/gynecology, psychiatry, general surgery, urology, and more. Community-based cancer and chronic disease management clinics are also available.

- Completion of Grade 12, successful graduation from an accredited Lab Assistant training program, along with one year of recent, relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to interact positively with others.
- Physical capability to perform the duties of the role.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Proficiency in operating relevant laboratory equipment.
- Typing speed of at least 25 words per minute.
