Front Office & Housekeeping Supervisor

We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Front Office & Housekeeping Supervisor at Silver Hotel Group. This role is essential in creating a welcoming atmosphere for all guests who enter our establishment. The individual in this position will play a pivotal role in shaping the guest experience, ensuring that first impressions are positive and lasting.

The Supervisor will be responsible for providing guidance and training to the team in both guest services and room operations across various shifts. This includes overseeing the housekeeping department, ensuring that guest rooms and public areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness. The ideal candidate will act as a motivator and leader for both the Front Office and Housekeeping teams, fostering a collaborative environment while bringing a unique sense of style and design to the operations.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Front Office & Housekeeping Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring seamless operations in the Front Office or Housekeeping Department in the absence of the Manager.
  • Serving as a role model for service excellence within the teams.
  • Upholding hotel standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Leading and inspiring team members through motivation and mentorship.
  • Identifying training needs and facilitating appropriate training.
  • Managing departmental budgets and expenditures.
  • Overseeing guest registration and check-out processes, including payment processing.
  • Supporting team training on systems, security, and service standards.
  • Promoting teamwork and quality service through effective communication with other departments.
  • Ensuring accurate room status information is maintained and communicated.
  • Resolving guest issues promptly and courteously.
  • Maintaining confidentiality of guest information and hotel operations.
  • Ensuring security of guest access and hotel property.
  • Establishing and training standards for cleanliness and safety in the housekeeping department.
  • Conducting inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure maintenance and standards are upheld.
  • Assisting with scheduling, payroll, coaching, and performance management for team members.
  • Complying with health and safety regulations and reporting any unsafe conditions.
  • Acting as a health and safety leader on the property.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned, particularly during peak periods.

What We Are Looking For...

  • Previous supervisory experience in a customer-facing or hospitality role.
  • Experience in housekeeping supervision within a hotel or related industry.
  • A post-secondary degree or diploma in Tourism or Hospitality is advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and comfort in engaging with guests and team members.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in property operating systems and MS Office applications is a plus.
  • A positive attitude and flexibility to work various shifts as required.

Salary Range

$20.40 / hour
