Key Responsibilities- Front Office Operations: Ensure the efficient and effective operation of the front office, including guest registration, check-out, and payment processing.
- Housekeeping Management: Supervise and coordinate the housekeeping team to ensure that all guest rooms and public areas are clean and well-maintained.
- Team Leadership: Provide guidance, training, and coaching to front office and housekeeping staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties effectively.
- Guest Service: Ensure that all guests receive exceptional service and that their needs are met in a timely and professional manner.
- Department Budgeting: Manage the front office and housekeeping budgets to ensure that expenses are controlled and that revenue is maximized.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with all departments, including accounting, revenue management, sales, food and beverage, and maintenance, to ensure that all aspects of hotel operations are running smoothly.
- Experience: Previous supervisory experience in a customer-facing and/or hospitality position, preferably in a hotel or related industry.
- Education: Post-secondary degree or diploma in tourism or hospitality is an asset.
- Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, excellent organizational, technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills, and the ability to think clearly in pressure situations.
- Physical Demands: Ability to endure an abundance of physical movements in the performance of job duties.
- Computer Literacy: Proficient in property operating systems such as Opera and Maestro, as well as MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Competitive Salary: $20.40 per hour.
