As a Sales and Customer Support Specialist, you will deliver exceptional service to clients through various communication channels, including phone, email, and in-person interactions. Your primary goal will be to enhance customer satisfaction while driving sales and contributing to the profitability of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and face-to-face interactions, effectively identifying their requirements.
- Conduct product research to offer tailored recommendations from our extensive inventory.
- Assist in order fulfillment by picking and packing items, as well as providing on-site customer support.
- Facilitate product deliveries to customer locations.
- Process sales orders generated from customer interactions through various communication methods.
- Maintain and expand the existing customer base while pursuing new business opportunities.
- Coordinate with vendors regarding backorders and communicate accurate delivery timelines to customers.
- Manage requests for quotes and follow up with vendors as necessary.
- Handle returns and warranty claims in compliance with established procedures.
- Collaborate with Counter Sales and Outside Sales teams to achieve collective goals.
- Address customer order issues in alignment with company policies and procedures.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Profit Centre Manager.
Qualifications:
- Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent; post-secondary education is an asset.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in customer service or sales roles.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications for effective communication and data management.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Strong relationship-building abilities with clients, suppliers, and colleagues.
- Capability to identify customer needs and provide effective solutions.
- Ability to learn and utilize the software systems for order processing.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic environment while managing multiple responsibilities.
- Intermediate mathematical skills.
- Physical capability to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Willingness to learn how to operate material handling equipment.
- Commitment to health and safety standards.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with products sold at the Profit Centre.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Experience with software such as Trend, Eclipse, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
