Position Overview

Salary Range - $40,000-$50,000

As a Sales and Customer Support Specialist, you will deliver exceptional service to clients through various communication channels, including phone, email, and in-person interactions. Your primary goal will be to enhance customer satisfaction while driving sales and contributing to the profitability of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and face-to-face interactions, effectively identifying their requirements.
  • Conduct product research to offer tailored recommendations from our extensive inventory.
  • Assist in order fulfillment by picking and packing items, as well as providing on-site customer support.
  • Facilitate product deliveries to customer locations.
  • Process sales orders generated from customer interactions through various communication methods.
  • Maintain and expand the existing customer base while pursuing new business opportunities.
  • Coordinate with vendors regarding backorders and communicate accurate delivery timelines to customers.
  • Manage requests for quotes and follow up with vendors as necessary.
  • Handle returns and warranty claims in compliance with established procedures.
  • Collaborate with Counter Sales and Outside Sales teams to achieve collective goals.
  • Address customer order issues in alignment with company policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Profit Centre Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent; post-secondary education is an asset.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in customer service or sales roles.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications for effective communication and data management.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong relationship-building abilities with clients, suppliers, and colleagues.
  • Capability to identify customer needs and provide effective solutions.
  • Ability to learn and utilize the software systems for order processing.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic environment while managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Intermediate mathematical skills.
  • Physical capability to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Willingness to learn how to operate material handling equipment.
  • Commitment to health and safety standards.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with products sold at the Profit Centre.
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Experience with software such as Trend, Eclipse, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
