Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled individual to join our dynamic Finance team as a Senior Fund Accountant. This role is crucial in scaling our operations and providing exceptional investor and management services within our global ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with various teams, including fellow senior fund accountants and the Fund Accounting Manager, to produce top-tier reporting for our private and public investors.
  • Coordinate with legal and business units to facilitate the administration and launch of new series for private equity and healthcare royalty funds, actively participating in the fundraising process.
  • Engage with the fund administrator and internal investor relations team for capital activities and ensure timely monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting in compliance with IFRS; work closely with the investor relations team to create quarterly client reports and marketing materials.
  • Partner with investment teams to finalize investment transactions, providing necessary information for KYC and managing the investment funding process.
  • Oversee the subscription and redemption processes.
  • Conduct monthly reconciliations of the funds' cash and investment positions, managing cash activities through projections, liquidity analysis, and expense payment oversight.
  • Administer and maintain the funds' credit facilities.
  • Assist in control assessments and determine the accounting classification for new and existing fund portfolio investments.
  • Support the valuation of level 3 investments in collaboration with the Valuation Manager.
  • Coordinate audit activities with external auditors and assist in preparing the funds' audited financial statements.
  • Supervise the fund's tax compliance process, working with tax consultants to ensure timely filing of tax returns and other regulatory documents in accordance with local tax authorities.
  • Ensure adherence to finance statutes and controls established for key processes.
  • Lead system and automation initiatives critical to scaling our control and fund accounting platform in alignment with the organization's strategic goals.
  • Provide ad-hoc data requests for internal stakeholders, including investor relations, legal, and the investment team.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • CA / CPA Certification with a focus on Internal Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) is preferred.
  • Strong academic background (accounting degree) and professional accomplishments.
  • Experience in private equity funds is advantageous.
