Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Entry-Level Technical Support Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about technology, possess strong problem-solving skills, and have a desire to learn and grow within the IT field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical assistance to clients via various communication channels.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues in a timely and efficient manner.
- Assist in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems, printers, and other peripherals.
- Perform software installations, updates, and patches to ensure optimal system performance.
- Document and track client issues and resolutions in our ticketing system.
- Collaborate with senior technical staff to escalate and resolve complex issues.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain positive client relationships.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in IT or related field is a plus.
- Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking principles.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with Windows and Mac operating systems.
- Basic knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
- Experience with remote desktop tools and support software.
- Understanding of IT security best practices.
