About the Role

The Customer Service - Counter Sales representative serves as the primary point of contact for incoming branch customers. They are responsible for providing exceptional customer service by interpreting customer needs, troubleshooting issues, ensuring order accuracy, and recommending products and solutions.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Team Player: Collaborate with colleagues in a team environment to achieve common goals.
  • Customer Service Oriented: Provide excellent customer service by maintaining and building customer relationships through product quotations and sales.
  • Detail Oriented: Generate, modify, and check sales orders and accurately complete applicable documentation.
  • Communicator: Develop strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with customers and staff.
  • Organized: Manage a high volume of customer requests, adjusting and working through interruptions with ease.
  • Technologically Savvy: Utilize the phone, computer, and POS system with proficiency.
Requirements:
  • Electrical Distribution/Counter Sales Experience: An asset in this role.
  • Physical Abilities: Comfortable using upper body full range of motion for wire cutting and hauling.
  • Previous Electrical Industry Experience: An asset.
  • Mathematical Skills: Basic mathematical skills with the ability to calculate simple equations mentally.
  • Computer Skills: Beginner-level computer skills with proficiency in MS Office and the ability to learn new software.
  • Product Knowledge: Wide range of expertise in the products and services provided by E.B. Horsman & Son.
