Molecular Imaging PET Technologist
Join our dedicated team at PHSA, where we focus on delivering exceptional cancer care through advanced imaging techniques.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute comprehensive clinical PET/CT scanning, including the selection of protocols, patient positioning, image acquisition, data reconstruction, and presenting finalized images to the PET physician.
- Prepare patients for the scanning process by explaining procedures, obtaining necessary consent, and ensuring their safety throughout.
- Conduct technical duties such as correlating patient history, recording vital signs, and administering radiotracers.
- Ensure patient safety, operate PET/CT machinery, and effectively respond to any emergencies that may arise.
Required Qualifications
- Certification from CAMRT in Nuclear Medicine.
- A minimum of three years of recent experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
- Completion of formal education in PET/CT or equivalent training and experience.
Strong knowledge of Nuclear Medicine procedures, PET/CT imaging systems, research methodologies, patient care practices, effective communication, and clinical equipment is essential.
