Senior Tax Consultant

Elby Professional Recruitment is representing a prominent Canadian manufacturing firm in search of a Senior Tax Consultant. This pivotal role is centered around overseeing Canadian tax obligations, provision management, forecasting, audit support, tax strategy, and the coordination of US tax submissions. The Senior Tax Consultant will guide a small team and significantly contribute to their professional growth.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure adherence to Canadian tax laws, including corporate tax submissions and foreign affiliate disclosures.
- Oversee quarterly tax provision reporting and relevant financial statement disclosures.
- Maintain accurate tax account monitoring for reliable financial reporting.
- Resolve tax audit challenges and provide assistance with US tax obligations.
- Facilitate cash repatriation and develop transfer pricing strategies.
- CPA designation or completion of an In-Depth Tax course is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Canadian corporate income tax is required.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS as it pertains to tax accounting.
- Familiarity with Canadian tax regulations and experience within the manufacturing sector.
