In this role, you will collaborate closely with partners and senior staff to devise and execute effective strategies and tax planning assignments. Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting technical research and formulating comprehensive tax plan recommendations;
- Managing a diverse portfolio of tax service clients;
- Reviewing tax returns and other tax-related work prepared by junior staff;
- Overseeing engagement financials, including budgets, work-in-progress, variances, and billing;
- Mentoring, training, and developing junior staff members.
To be successful in this position, you should possess:
- A CPA designation or equivalent professional experience;
- Completion of the In-Depth Tax Program or equivalent experience;
- Experience in public practice accounting;
- A minimum of two years in a tax specialty role, with HST experience considered an asset;
- Strong project management skills;
- Business development skills are advantageous.
