About the Role:
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Tax Manager to join our tax team at RLB LLP. As a Senior Tax Manager, you will be responsible for leading and completing client engagements, providing work direction and coaching to junior team members, and building and managing meaningful client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and complete client engagements, including tax planning and preparation for individuals, estates, trusts, and small businesses.
- Provide work direction and coaching to junior team members, including mentoring and developing their skills and capabilities.
- Build and manage meaningful client relationships, including developing and implementing tax planning and advisory services.
- Research and apply complex and unusual tax matters to anticipate, identify, and address a variety of tax issues relevant to internal and external clients.
- Develop and implement re-organization plans and provide recommendations to clients.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations and apply this knowledge to provide expert advice to clients.
Requirements:
- 5-7 years post-CPA experience with recent expertise in a public accounting firm with a strong focus on tax planning and advisory services.
- Experience in leading and reviewing tax planning and preparation for individuals, estates, trusts, and small businesses.
- Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to apply complex and unusual tax matters to anticipate, identify, and address a variety of tax issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and manage meaningful client relationships.
- Proficiency in Caseware, TaxPrep, and Microsoft Office, with a willingness to learn new technologies.
