About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Tax Professional to join our team at Baker Tilly Canada Cooperative. As a Senior Tax Manager, you will play a key role in developing and implementing effective tax strategies and planning assignments for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with partners and senior staff to develop and implement tax planning strategies and assignments
  • Perform technical research and develop tax plan recommendations
  • Manage a portfolio of tax services clients
  • Review tax returns and other tax work prepared by staff
  • Identify and cultivate new sales and/or client service opportunities
  • Manage engagement financials, including budgets, WIP, variances, and billing
  • Mentor, train, and develop staff
  • Lead practice and professional development initiatives
Requirements
  • CPA designation or equivalent work experience
  • Completion of the In-Depth Tax Program or equivalent work experience
  • Experience working in public practice accounting
  • At least two years in a tax specialty role, HST experience is an asset
  • Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining trusted advisor relationships
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to lead, mentor, and develop others to build high-performing teams
  • Business development skills are an asset
