At Mastronardi Produce, we are seeking a dedicated Shipping Quality Assurance Specialist to enhance our operations at our expansive distribution center. This role is pivotal in delivering outstanding customer service by ensuring the precision of inventory management and storage.
Shift: 11:00pm to 7:00am
Key Responsibilities:
- Timely receipt of incoming shipments, ensuring they are correctly dated and labeled.
- Conduct thorough inspections of shipments for quality and quantity.
- Accurately input invoices into the inventory management system.
- Immediately report any quality concerns regarding products to the supervisor.
- Efficiently rotate products based on size, date, and quantity.
- Utilize a forklift for the safe transportation of goods within the warehouse.
- Organize the warehouse to group similar products effectively.
- Ensure proper return and storage of products or materials back into inventory.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of produce quality standards.
- Adhere to allocations and load the correct produce.
- Follow all company protocols regarding food safety and warehouse safety.
- Accurately count and review products in a timely manner.
- Document all quality assurance functions accurately and efficiently.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
- A minimum of two years of experience in warehouse order selection is required, with a preference for produce experience.
Essential Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively.
- Capacity to repetitively lift up to 30 lbs.
- Strong communication and reading skills in English, along with basic mathematical proficiency.
- Experience in operating a forklift is essential.
Working Environment:
- The role is situated in a large refrigerated warehouse, with an average temperature of 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Background noise levels may reach 70 dB.
- Physical requirements include sitting, standing, walking, and bending regularly.
- Manual dexterity is necessary for performing computer-related tasks.
