Key Responsibilities- Collect and inspect samples from plants or products to ensure compliance with government regulations and industry standards.
- Enforce government acts and regulations related to agricultural products, ensuring that all products meet the required standards.
- Conduct regular inspections of agricultural products to detect any harmful diseases, chemical residues, or infestations.
- Explain required standards to agricultural workers and ensure that they understand the importance of quality and safety.
- Maintain accurate inspection records and complete reports as required.
- Investigate consumer and trade complaints related to our agricultural products.
- Take emergency actions, such as closing production facilities, if product safety is compromised.
- 5 years or more of experience in agricultural products inspection or a related field.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
- Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
