Structural Design Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Structural Design professional to join our team in Vancouver. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for creating detailed designs and models for structural steel and concrete projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and model structural steel and concrete systems using 3D modeling software
  • Ensure designs meet CSA and International standards
  • Collaborate with engineers and design drafter to review and improve design processes
  • Participate in the review of designs and advise on technical drafting difficulties or government compliance requirements
  • Monitor project time and cost KPIs and ensure compliance with project execution plan and client expectations
Requirements:
  • Technical Design degree or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in design/consultancy/operational environment
  • Proficiency in 3D modeling software, such as AutoCAD, Navisworks, or Advanced Steel/Prosteel
  • Metals and heavy industry experience highly advantageous
  • Shop detailing experience highly advantageous

Salary range in BC: $65,000-85,000. The salary offered will consider education, experience, relevant skills, and capability, geographic location, and market conditions at the time of hire.
