Intermediate Structural Designer

Wood is seeking an experienced Intermediate Structural Designer to join our Minerals & Metals team in Vancouver, BC. As a key member of our team, you will apply your extensive knowledge of structural design principles and technical CAD expertise to deliver high-quality designs for our most challenging projects.

Our ideal candidate is a self-learner with a proactive personality, eager to learn and grow. If you have a strong background in civil/structural design and experience with AVEVA E3D, AutoCAD, and Navisworks, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop structural systems for heavy industrial projects
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design meets project requirements
  • Develop and maintain technical expertise in CAD software and design principles
  • Contribute to the development of design standards and best practices
Requirements:
  • Technical diploma with experience in civil/structural design
  • Minimum 12 years of relevant design experience in a Structural Designer role
  • Minimum 6 years of recent design experience with AVEVA E3D, AutoCAD, and Navisworks
  • Experience with AutoCAD Plant 3D and Advanced Steel is considered an asset
  • Ability to work independently and in a multi-disciplinary team environment
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
