Youth & Family Coordinator

The Arbutus Club is a prestigious organization in Vancouver, dedicated to serving the community since its inception in 1964. We are in search of an enthusiastic, empathetic, and motivated individual to oversee our Youth and Family division. This position is vital to our Club as it focuses on crafting enriching experiences for children and their families through various activities including sports, arts, and play.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise the Youth Department facilities, programs, and events
  • Lead the Youth staff team, including recruitment, training, and performance assessments
  • Promote youth programs and organize special events and camps
  • Responsible for budgeting and financial management of designated areas
  • Coordinate large-scale family events in collaboration with the Recreation Services team
  • Participate in regular meetings with the Recreation Services team

Qualifications & Skills

  • Exceptional member service, leadership, and organizational abilities
  • Experience in event planning, coaching, or program development is advantageous
  • A genuine passion for working with children and fostering positive experiences
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in educational or recreational environments with children
  • Degree in a relevant field is preferred
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment
  • First Aid Certification is mandatory; sport certifications are beneficial
