Job Summary

The Arbutus Club is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to oversee the Youth and Family department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating opportunities for children and their families to engage in sports, arts, and play.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and coordinate youth programs, services, and events that align with the Club's mission and values.
  • Manage the Youth staff team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Market and promote youth programs, special events, and seasonal camps through various channels.
  • Accountable for budgets, billings, and invoices for assigned areas.
  • Organize and lead large-scale family events with support from the Recreation Services team.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Exceptional member service skills, strong leadership, and team-building skills.
  • Background in event planning, coaching, program development, or summer camps is an asset.
  • Strong passion for working with children and creating a positive and fun experience.
  • 5 years' experience in working with children and youth in an educational or recreational setting.
  • Degree in a relevant area of study, such as Education, Business, Kinesiology, or Recreation Management.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Emergency First Aid Certificate is required.
  • Sport certifications, High-Five Certification, or other similar certification is an asset.
