Virtual Mental Health Specialist

This position provides entirely virtual clinical services to enhance patient care.
Fraser Health is embracing innovative methods to deliver high-quality care to patients across the region.
The Virtual Psychiatry Unit represents a novel approach to delivering acute Mental Health and Substance Use care to clients across the Fraser Health Region.
This program offers the opportunity to work within a team-based, inter-professional care environment, providing care to acute patients directly in their homes and through virtual channels.
Key Responsibilities- Delivering top-tier care to adult patients served by Fraser Health, as part of an interdisciplinary team.
- Consulting at the new Virtual Psychiatry Unit and actively engaging in outreach to patients' residences.
- Providing assessment, outpatient treatment, and consultation services, including conducting family meetings, organizing case conferences, discharge planning, and educating psychiatry residents and medical students.
- Fostering positive working relationships with all involved in patient care and advocating for the psychiatric needs of individual patients.
