Job SummaryThe Production Project Leader is responsible for driving initiatives to enhance production safety, quality, capacity, reliability, and customer service in the Production department. This role involves collaborating with the Production Technical team to analyze and improve production processes and equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Work closely with Production Technicians to identify and implement process improvements, focusing on safety, quality, and productivity.
- Manage project resources to ensure timely completion and develop contingency plans to minimize production impact.
- Liaise with Production Operations, Engineering, and Quality Assurance to coordinate project activities, provide technical guidance, and implement initiatives to meet business needs.
- Coordinate the installation and commissioning of production equipment, including completing equipment installation and operational qualifications (IQ/OQs) as required.
- Identify and recommend solutions for process improvements, reliability, and compliance to Production Operations, Engineering, and Quality Assurance.
- Coordinate team activities, outside consultants/vendors, and contractors to execute projects, ensuring technical and regulatory compliance standards.
- Develop and maintain maintenance and operational Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as required.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), SOPs, and established Safety Standards.
- Post-secondary degree in Engineering, Sciences, or a related technical field, or equivalent combination of College diploma and project management experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Leadership ability, particularly in achieving outcomes through others, developing positive working relationships, and taking ownership and accountability for own performance.
- Ability to work within a team environment and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven customer service skills and strong organizational, time management, and project management skills.
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
