Job Summary
The Production Project Leader is responsible for driving initiatives to enhance production safety, quality, capacity, reliability, and customer service. This role involves working closely with the Production Technical team to analyze processes and equipment, identify areas for improvement, and implement changes to maintain or improve quality, productivity, and timeliness.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Production Technicians and the Production Technical team to understand and analyze production processes and equipment.
- Manage resources to complete projects on schedule and develop contingency plans to minimize production impact.
- Liaise with Production Operations, Engineering, and Quality Assurance to coordinate project activities, provide technical advice, and implement initiatives.
- Coordinate the installation and commissioning of production equipment, including completing equipment installation and operational qualifications (IQ/OQs).
- Identify areas for improvement in production processes, reliability, and compliance and recommend solutions.
- Coordinate team activities, outside consultants/vendors, and contractors to ensure technical and regulatory compliance standards.
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as required.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), SOPs, and established Safety Standards.
Requirements
- Post-secondary degree in Engineering, Sciences, or a related technical field preferred or equivalent combination of College diploma and project management experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Leadership ability, particularly in achieving outcomes through others, developing positive working relationships, and taking ownership and accountability for own performance.
- Ability to work within a team environment and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven customer service skills and strong organizational, time management, and project management skills.
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
