Health and Safety Manager

BURNCO Rock Products Ltd. is seeking a Health and Safety Manager to lead the development and implementation of the company's Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) programs. The successful candidate will have a strong background in HSE and experience in the construction or oil and gas industry.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement HSE programs and policies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify and mitigate risks.
- Collaborate with the operations team to align HSE standards and ensure effective implementation.
- Participate in Accident and Incident Investigations and develop recommendations for effective incident reduction strategies.
- Develop and deliver training courses and materials for BURNCO's operations staff.
- Prepare reports, statistics, and presentation materials to support HSE initiatives.
- University degree or technical diploma in HSE or a related field.
- Minimum of 12 to 15 years' experience in HSE and 5 years' experience in the construction or oil and gas industry.
- Designations as a National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) and Alberta Construction Safety Association (ACSA) auditor or ability to acquire within 1 year.
- Strong leadership skills with a cooperative and helpful attitude towards colleagues.
- Proficiency with computer systems and applications including the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to conduct business in an ethical manner and build relationships based on collaboration, honesty, and respect.
