About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Freight Business Development Manager to join our dynamic team at ALS Recruiting Ltd. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding our customer base, and developing strategic partnerships within the freight industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and target potential clients within the freight industry to generate new business leads and opportunities.

  • Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline to achieve and exceed sales targets, ensuring seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with existing and potential clients through regular communication and client engagement activities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including operations, logistics, and customer service, to ensure effective service delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Negotiate and close sales agreements, contracts, and partnerships, adhering to company policies and profitability objectives.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, regulations, and market trends to identify new business opportunities and stay ahead of the competition.
  • Provide timely and accurate sales forecasts, reports, and analysis to management, ensuring informed decision-making.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking forums to promote brand awareness and build a professional network.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven track record of success in business development or sales within the freight industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of the freight industry, including various transportation modes, logistics operations, and supply chain management.
  • Strong negotiation, persuasion, and closing skills with the ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze market trends, identify business opportunities, and develop strategic plans.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a strong drive to achieve targets and exceed expectations.
  • Proficient in using CRM software and other sales tools to manage and track sales activities.
  • Willingness to travel as required to meet clients and attend industry events.
