About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cleaning Supervisor to join our team at AllStream Janitorial Services Inc. As a Cleaning Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our cleaning team, ensuring that our facilities are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hire and Train Staff: Recruit, train, and supervise a team of cleaning staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Coordinate Cleaning Activities: Plan and coordinate the cleaning schedule to ensure that all areas of the facility are cleaned to the required standards.
  • Inspect and Monitor: Conduct regular inspections of the facility to ensure that it meets our high standards of cleanliness and safety.
  • Prepare Budgets and Estimates: Prepare and manage budgets and cost estimates for cleaning supplies and services.
  • Recommend Additional Services: Identify and recommend additional services required to maintain the facility, such as painting, repair work, or replacement of furnishings and equipment.
  • Receive Payments: Receive payment for specialized cleaning jobs and ensure that all financial transactions are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Assist Cleaners: Assist cleaners in performing their duties and provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Coordinate with Other Departments: Coordinate work activities with other departments to ensure seamless operations.
  • Establish Work Schedules: Establish and manage work schedules for the cleaning team to ensure that all areas of the facility are cleaned to the required standards.
Requirements
  • Leadership and Supervision: 5-10 years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role, with a proven track record of success.
  • Team Management: Proven ability to manage and motivate a team of cleaning staff to achieve high standards of performance.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, management, and clients.
  • Problem-Solving and Adaptability: Ability to think critically and solve problems effectively, with a flexible and adaptable approach to changing circumstances.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, and standing for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in a cleaning or janitorial role, with a proven track record of success.
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate, with a focus on business or a related field.
  • Language: Fluency in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with staff, management, and clients.
