Job Summary

The Government of Nunavut is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Director to lead the Qikiqtani School Operations team. As a key member of the senior administrative team, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the provision of high-quality educational standards and services in Nunavut.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Qikiqtani School Operations team to achieve strategic objectives and improve educational outcomes
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to support education administration and management
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to promote education and training opportunities in Nunavut
  • Provide leadership and guidance to education administrators and staff
  • Ensure compliance with education regulations and standards

Requirements

  • Master's degree in education or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in education administration or management
  • Proven leadership and management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a cross-cultural environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a northern cross-cultural environment
  • Knowledge of Inuit communities, culture, and language
  • Fluency in Inuktut or other official languages of Nunavut
