We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our team at Charminar Indian Cuisine in Scarborough. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals and individual dishes to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities- Food Preparation: Prepare and cook complete meals and individual dishes, adhering to our menu and quality standards.
- Kitchen Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, ensuring all equipment and utensils are in good working order.
- Team Support: Assist in supervising kitchen staff and helpers, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of food, supplies, and equipment, ensuring we have the necessary resources to meet customer demand.
- Cleaning and Sanitation: Clean and sanitize kitchen and work areas, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
- Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role is preferred.
- Work Setting: This role is based in a fast-paced restaurant environment, requiring attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
- Cuisine Specialties: We specialize in South Indian and East Indian cuisine, and we are looking for someone with a passion for cooking and a willingness to learn.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: This role requires standing for extended periods, handling heavy loads, and working in a physically demanding environment.
