Dental Assisting Program Instructor

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced instructor to join our team at Saskatchewan Polytechnic. As a Dental Assisting Program Instructor, you will be responsible for providing didactic and clinical instruction and assessment of performance in the Dental Assisting program.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver comprehensive curriculum for the Dental Assisting program.
- Provide instruction and assessment of students in clinical settings.
- Maintain current knowledge of dental assisting principles, procedures, and techniques.
- Supervise and evaluate students in clinical settings.
- Conduct various aspects of program administration as required.
- Provide dental assisting services as required.
- Collaborate with the Dental Hygiene Program as required.
Qualifications
- Graduate of a Dental Assisting Program.
- Eligible for registration and licensure as a dental assistant in Saskatchewan.
- Related baccalaureate degree (or be working toward completion of a related degree).
- Training in educational theory and methodology.
- Minimum of two years recent and relevant dental assisting experience in a dental office utilizing current dental assisting principles, procedures, and techniques.
- Effective communication, instructional, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated valuing diversity and ability to function as a team member.
- Competence in the use of technology, including the internet, email, and MS Office Suite software.
